Contracted as a Database Analyst / Developer to analyse employee process data from the stores. Then developed
a new database suite to improve efficiency of the Retail Industrial Engineers methods, (whose role is to measure
the time taken for each employee action in an individual store to the second, build new and improve existing staff
payroll models). Worked as part of a team of 12 including an IT Manager, Industrial Engineers and Developers.
Development over the full project lifecycle using Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Responsibilities:
 Design, develop, and document Access databases to improve productivity models for the Bakery, Product,
Suppliers, Merchandising and Master Data using Agile/Scrum methods.
 Worked as part of a development team working in the area of Stores Productivity incorporating enhancements
based on ideas provided by the Engineers
 Liaise with stakeholders and engineers to design and create MOST (Maynard work measurement time and

Responsibilities:
 Liaise with auditors, clients and stakeholders to obtain the correct financial, warehouse and email data for
recovery audits
 Analyse clients’ data storage to determine data required depending on clients system including (SQL Server,

Automated ftp reporting system reduced the labour intensive manual checking time from over two hours a day
to just 5 minutes.

Created the Relational database design, infrastructure requirements and investigated alternative software

2. UK Box Solutions Ltd –Developer
UK Box is a retail company selling bespoke metallic storage and racking solutions mainly in the UK and

3. Commercial & General Systems - Developer
A small company specialising in data cleansing that required additional support for large volume of projects with
their clients. Worked as part of a team of 4 Developers.
 Assisted with the cleansing of large data files both on Access and SQL to specified standards
 Developed an Access database (front-end) which interfaced to SQL databases (back-end)
 Cleansed and normalised multiple records allowing for more logical structures
 Migrated data from various data input sources such as CSV / flat files for export into large SQL and Access

Advised and developed a prototype Access database for demonstration for building an in-house internal teaching
aid for new starters on the intranet. Liaised with the client, solely planned and developed prototype Access
database. Designed and created the live SQL database, ASP plus VB was used to interface to the interactive flash
website.
Achievement:
Planned the initial technology and created the first technical blueprint, code and database, for the e-learning
intranet and extranet business to re-use and scale for future clients thus assisting the business to rapidly grow.
