MS/Sec Physical Education Class
It is a privelege to be part of the educational growth and development of the MS/Sec students.
They started their Physical Education lesson and activity on basketball. Some of them were so
excited to play and some of them werent interested.But as we continue, There were visible
changes being seen among the group. A few of those who hates basketball, you will see them
playing and trying to get along. To those who like the sport, they were inspired to keep on
improving their skills.
Teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline and attitude are some aspects being observed and are to be
observed all the time. They were encouraged not just to focus on themselves only, but to operate
on these values. They are doing great so far.
MS/Sec Physical Education Class
Most of the students have a background in playing musical instruments like guitar, keyboards
and drums. Some of them were good at singing. It could be a good opportunity for them to play
their own instruments together with there classmates. They just need to polish their talents and
try to adopt or acquire more skills and techniques.
They are working on Major and Minor keys. In addition, family chords were also carried out.
They are doing a hands-on workshop every meeting. But to break the monotony of the
designated lessons, they were tasked to compose a song. For the meantime, they are going to
work on this. It’s truly amazing because were able to write a song of their own. They are
working now on putting the melody of their own composition. And of course, they are going to
learn how to play their song with their instruments. They are looking forward to having a
presentation on the upcoming Hai Fun Show.
Music 9-11yo Class
We started the lesson about the Music of the World. The class were divided into groups and each
were tasked to research and make a presentation on a particular topic: types of music, music
genres, music from different countries and kinds of musical instruments. They did a very
impressive presentation. They have applied what they have learned and what they are learning in
their Technology class. They also, learned a song in which they are going to play with their
instruments later on. By the way, they are going to continue what they have been doing last year.
They will be divided into groups like guitar group, bass guitar group, drums or cajon group and
our new added instrument Ukulele group. We will be focusing on applied music until the end of
this year 2016.
Music 7-8yo Class
In Just four meetings of practicing the Ukulele, They can now play a song in key of G-major.
They just need to work on their strumming skills and to have a firm finger position while doing
the keys. They are showing an excessive performance. Their interest makes them learn the lesson
quickly, also. There are one or two among the group who are a little bit behind but they are
doing their part to learn and catch up with their classmates. They will have an individual
presentation after 3 more meetings. Each of them will stand in front of the class to sing with
accompaniment (play the ukulele).
Music 5-6 yo Class
They were being thought on how to play the ukulele. Since the very beginning until now, they
are working on that. They started memorizing and practising the family of G-Major. Despite
being hurt while playing there small guitar, they are enjoying it and were amazed of what they
are doing. They are improving every meeting.
One good news is that they now memorized and can play four keys like G, Em, C and D. There
are some who are having a hard time but still they tried to follow and practice. They were
divided into 4 groups. One ukulele for each group. Group Interaction, one of the QSI Success
Orientation, is visible among them. They tried to help each other. They adjust the fingers of their
groupmates just incase he/she didn’t hit the right string or key. They are looking forward to
playing a song soon.
