Verify any medication order and make sure it's complete.
Check the patient's medical record for an allergy or contraindication to the prescribed
medication.
Prepare medications for one patient at a time.
Educate patients about their medications.
Follow the right rights of medication administration.
A nurse administered medication to a client after confirming
that his name was Phillip. When returning to the nurse’s station, the nurse
realized that she gave the medication to the wrong client. What important nursing
intervention regarding medication administration was not applied in the situation?
The nurse did not apply “the right person”, here nurse has to check if the information
have in system are the same as on the client’s wrist bandage.
After made mistake has to check vital signs and call provider then complete incident
report

noticed the order was for digoxin 5mg and the dosage on hand is 0.5mg. What
