HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE CLIMATE
AND NATURAL RESOURCES OF NEW JERSEY?
Vocabulary
 Climate: the kind of weather a place has over a long
period of time.
 Precipitation: water that falls to Earth’s surface as
rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
 Nor-Easter: strong storms that bring high winds,
heavy snows, and freezing cold.

 Natural resources: something found in nature that
people can use.
 Renewable: resource that can be reused or replaced.
 Nonrenewable: cannot be made again.
 Manufacturing: making goods from natural
resources.
