EmploymentOpportunity TheOregonGolfAssociation(OGA)–formedin1924toconducttheOregonAmateurGolfChampionship whichincludedbothmenandwomen,theOGAisa501(c)(6)non-profitamateurgolfassociationgovernedby volunteeramateurgolfersthatmakeupitsBoardofDirectorsandthatemploysafull-timeprofessionalstaff ofninepeople.Today,theOGAhasgrownintoanentityofmorethan270publicandprivateclubsnumbering approximately41,000membersthroughoutOregonandSWWashingtonandisuniqueinthatitsmembership iscomprisedofalldemographicsincludingmen,women,seniors,juniors,andprivateandpublicgolfers.With avastarrayofprogramsforitsmembers,theOGAprovidesaUSGAHandicapIndexforeachmemberthrough itslicensedmemberclubs,provideseducationontheRulesofGolfandrunsanassortmentofcompetitions, includingtherunningof13statechampionships,USGAqualifiersandothereventsforallagesandskilllevels.
