CASUAL WORKERS REQUIRED BY YSS IN WORCESTERSHIRE/HEREFORDSHIRE/SHROPSHIRE/TELFORD/STOKE Hours: Flexible on a casual basis to include evenings and weekends Hourly rate: Dependent on role YSS is a project based independent charity working across the West Midlands region to create opportunities to enable young people, adults and families who are facing difficult life challenges to achieve their aspirations and lead positive and constructive lives within society. We are looking to recruit: Casual vocational trainers (minimum PTTLS qualified) in Worcestershire who are specifically able to work occasional Saturdays. All vocational areas considered including: Carpentry Bricklaying Painting and decorating Tiling Catering and Hospitality Bicycle mechanics Casual support workers, key workers and team managers to join our team of casual workers based in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire , Telford and Stoke. Professional qualifications are not required for all roles but previous experience, skills and knowledge in any of the following areas would be an advantage. • • • • • • • • • Working with children or young people Knowledge of the criminal justice system Ability and skill to motivate a target group Leadership and staff management skills Experience/knowledge around IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance) Experience of working with adult offenders, 121 and/or group work Group training Knowledge of policy and legislation in respect of children and young people Knowledge of the factors that lead to social exclusion and anti-social behaviour If you are interested and would like to find out more please either send your CV to [email protected] or complete and return the casual worker application form on our website www.yss.org.uk (click on get involved/careers/vacancies) and we will contact you.
