Main Activity: AO1: Impact of Gaming on Society
Look at feedback for your AO1 Impact of Gaming on Society Report
Amend your reports to include suggestions from feedback.
• Reports should include:
o Introduction - To explain what you are trying to achieve.
o Contents page - to help reader navigate,
o Page numbering.
o Headings & Sub-headings - try to use headings to identify each Impact
(Society, Employment& Finance, Health, Psychology).
o Sub-headings to comment on the positives & negatives.
o Bibliography - listing each source, reliability, copyright and usefulness.
o Conclusion - stating your own personal opinions and summarising your
findings.

latest, include lots of technical details.
o Bibliography - listing each source, reliability, copyright and usefulness.
o Conclusion - stating your own personal opinions and summarising your findings.

Your AO3 Report consists of 2 parts – Design & Development
Design
o Introduction - To explain what you are trying to achieve.
o Contents page & Page numbering. - to help reader navigate,
o Headings & Sub-headings - try to use headings to identify each section
o Aims & Audience – Explain the purpose and audience of your game.
o Genre – What type of game are you designing?
o Design tools (e.g. storyboarding, mind maps, narrative)
o Platforms – Which devices will your game run on?
o Interfaces – What type of interface will your game have?
o Possible expansions/repurposing (e.g. add-ons to make more revenue from the game).

o Language – AS3, C+, HTML5, IOS, Java, GameMaker, Scratch, Kodu, Construct2……
o Compiling Code – Does your code need compiling?
o User Interface Elements - Option menus, puzzles, help, facilities, triggers, collisions)
o Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques - Scripting, rule based decisions, input processes.
