Ohio - Update." Updating early project to analyze changes over time and to compare with
British data.
Visiting Research Fellow, University of Reading, Reading England, August, 1987. Conducting
interviews with community leaders on strategies for coping with fiscal stress.
Project Co-Director. "Fiscal Retrenchment and Urban Innovation in Ohio." Conducted mail surveys
of Ohio city officials to discover their fiscal retrenchment strategies as a part of a national
project. Analyzing Ohio data and assisting in national analysis.
Dissertation Research. "Determinants of Expenditure Priorities in American Cities, 1948-1978." A
quantitative comparative analysis of expenditures in eleven cities over 31 years. Developed
unique dependent variables for measuring expenditure priority change and analyzed
determinants of change.
Research Fellow. Center for Urban Affairs and Policy Research. September 1980-1982. Served
as research assistant to "Media in Public Policy" research group. Activities including assistance
in grant writing, theory formulation, survey formulation, elite interview administration and writeup.

Served the "Government Responses to Crime" project. Activities included responsibility for data
management, theory formulation, data analysis and assisted in administrative tasks.
