Literary Device: Metaphor – “My heart’s a stereo/it beats for you, so listen close…” In this line, the artist
is comparing his heart (and his love) to a stereo. Just as a stereo beats with loud music, his heart beats
for the girl he is singing to. The comparison creates meaning because it is connecting ideas about love
to music, something that everyone can relate to and understand.
