1
• For every unit of Packed cells, you
should aim to administer
– Fresh Frozen Plasma one unit for each unit of packed cells
• All clotting factors, including V & VIII
– Platelets equivalent to that in a unit of whole blood
• 1 pack of platelets is the pooled platelets of four donors
– Fibrinogen equivalent to that in a unit of whole blood
• Cryoprecipitate is rich in Fibrinogen (140 mg/60mls)
