GLOBAL UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2017-2018 Public Affairs Section Embassy of the United States Kyiv, Ukraine The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) brings future leaders to the United States to experience the U.S. educational system, enhance their knowledge, and explore U.S. culture and values The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) • Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs; • Administered by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine; • Final selection of participants is made in Washington D.C. The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) • One academic semester • Undergraduate, non-degree study • All fields of study • Community service The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) FINANCIAL SUPPORT: • Travel to/from the U.S. • University tuition • Room and board • Health insurance • Required books • Monthly stipend for incidental expenses The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) SELECTION CRITERIA: • Academic excellence • Leadership potential • Proficiency in written and spoken English • Flexibility to be an exchange student The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: • Citizen of Ukraine, currently residing and studying in Ukraine • Over 18 years of age • Enrolled as an undergraduate at any university, public or private • Not enrolled in his/her final year of studies at the time of application The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (continued): • Solid command of written and spoken English • Able to begin studies in the United States in August 2017 for English Language Training or January 2018 (selected participants may not defer to a later date) The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) STAGE 1: Application review Semifinalists selection STAGE 2: Interview (in English) Testing: TOEFL The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) APPLICATION PACKAGE: • Electronic application • Copy of international passport bio (first) page • Two letters of recommendation • Official undergraduate transcripts with certified English translations The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) APPLICATION PACKAGE (continued): • Official confirmation of the current academic year enrollment • First-year students should enclose their certificate proving they finished the final year of their secondary education • English language test score report (if available) The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) www.worldlearning.org/ugrad [email protected] (044) 521 50 43 DEADLINE: December 31, 2016
