Disputed plots of Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan border could be conditionally divided into the
following 5 categories:
1. From the meeting point between the state borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's
Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic to the joint between the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border and
the border between Issyk-Kul and Chuy regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
2. From junction point of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border between the Issyk-Kul and Chuy regions of
the Kyrgyz Republic to the meeting point between the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border and the border
between Almaty and Zhambyl regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. From the meeting point between Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan border with the border between Almaty
and Zhambyl regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the point of junction of KyrgyzKazakhstan frontier and the border between Chuy and Talass regions of Kyrgyz Republic.
4. From the joint of Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan border and border between Chuy and Talass regions of
Kyrgyz Republic to the meeting point between Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan border and the border
between Zhambyl and South-Kazakhstan regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. From the meeting point between Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan border and the border between Zhambyl
and South-Kazakhstan regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the joint of the borders of the
Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
