Sub - Invitation to participate in Make in India Week, Mumbai (13-18Feb 2016)
Dear Sir/Madam
Embassy of India, Rome wishes to inform that Government of India is organising
“Make in India (MII) Week” at Mumbai from 13-18th February 2016. The objective
behind the event is to invite participation of foreign companies desirous of doing business
and investment in India. The event will be attended by PM of India, senior ministers,
State Government Agencies and senior officials from different central ministries. The
week long event will offer foreign investors unprecedented access, insights and
opportunities to show case, connect and collaborate with young Indian entrepreneurs,
industry leaders, academicians and government officials. There will be a ‘Make in India’
centre which will showcase innovative products and manufacturing processes developed
in India and will also have business forum which will have a series of seminars, CXO
meets, round table and net working events on economic challenge and investment

Italy has very good strength in all industrial sectors. Presently more than 600 Italian
companies have presence in India. Some of the big Italian companies have made
investment in India in sectors like textile, leather, food processing, infrastructure, energy,
pharmaceutical, construction, automobile etc.. India which has a stable economy and
growing market for urban consumer products, Italian companies can plan for business and
investment in 25 prior sectors as identified under MII policy (Automobile Components,
Automobiles, Aviation, Biotechnology, Chemicals, Construction, Defence manufacturing,
Electrical Machinery, Electronic systems, Food Processing, Information Technology and
Business process management, Leather, Media and Entertainment, Mining, Oil and Gas,
Pharmaceuticals, Ports and Shipping, Railways, Renewable Energy, Roads and
Highways, Space, Textiles and Garments, Thermal Power, Tourism and Hospitality,
Wellness).

member companies in order to allow those who are potentially interested to attend the
