Introduction:
Everyone has a different perspective on what a healthy lifestyle is. Healthy life style
is eating healthy food and taking care of your body fitness and needs. (Julia, 2010) As
a famous author said “Those who do not find time for exercise will have to find time
for illness” (Smith) which means in order to have a good body and being wellness, we
should do daily sports. Which is our duty in the life. Health is available and free for
everyone, if you have a good health you will have a successful life. Nowadays many
of sports and fitness centers become more accessible for people. Sports clubs have all
the requirements and equipment to help people achieving their goals in building a
healthy lifestyle. (El-Baz, 2012)
From different personal experiences in my life, I discovered how being in a healthy
life style is important for everybody, especially in schools and universities. I saw how
fitness and healthy food could affect our body. This leads me to start reading lots of
books about health and wellness. I became more interested in this subject, by reading
more books and meeting people who have a healthy lifestyle and I saw the differences
between them and the people who don’t have a healthy lifestyle.
Having a healthy lifestyle can keep us away from many dangerous diseases; improve
the body fitness and wellness. In addition, being each member of the family in a good
health can keep the environment healthful and away from illnesses. (Zied, 2007) Also,
make the people aware of their health and bodies. Furthermore, having a healthy
3
lifestyle is by eating healthy food, performing daily sports and having enough
sleeping times. (El-Baz, 2012)
Methodology:
My research had based on qualitative surveys from different researchers. I collected
the date from different sources, such as Internet, books and articles. Furthermore, I
searched on the new statistical health centers websites. In addition, I used the newest
addition of online books to get the information. Also, I used new magazines and
health articles. Furthermore, I used the official health centers websites in order to get
the information from a scholar researchers.
Body:
Eating healthy food is one of the bases of having a healthy lifestyle. A healthy
eating lifestyle will improve the body wellness. Also it will decrease the chances of
having a long-lasting illnesses. Your body's health is directly associated to how your
cells function on a daily basis. The tons of cells in your body must get the essential
4
nutrients that they need in order to function properly. These important nutrients are
found in your daily food, and if you do not get them, then your body is not able to
function and you will develop your body’s diseases. The important nutrients that you
need each day are carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins and water.
(Williams, 2011)
The basic guideline for healthy eating is to focus on foods that contain essential
natural nutrients and vitamins, minerals and fiber. You can find them on the whole
fruits, vegetables, grains, vegetable oils and in lean meats, for example, fish and
poultry (Ruth, 2012) A healthy eating lifestyle will be focused on smaller portions
and will balance the amount of calories that you gain with the amount that you burn
through physical activity and sports. This will help you sustain a healthy body and
fitness, which will decrease your risk for chronic diseases such as high cholesterol,
diabetes and heart disease (Williams, 2011)
In order to live a healthy lifestyle, it’s important to avoid certain food. To complete
this, try to avoid foods that are processed and avoid junk foods. These foods contain
refined carbohydrates and fats, which are high in sodium. In addition, avoid foods that
are high in saturated fat because they will increase your cholesterol levels. Avoiding
sugar candies and soft drinking are the final steps toward living a healthy lifestyle.
The experts is United Kingdom list healthy eating as one of the most important
lifestyle habits that you can make to improve your health and wellness
(Williams,2011)
5
Performing daily sports is the second base of having a healthy lifestyle. Walking is
one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and improve your wellness as
well as your fitness. Regular walking has been shown to decrease the risk of many
illnesses and improve your health. It will avoid you heart disease and some kinds of
cancers. Being physically active can help you to control stress, depression and even
anxiety. In addition, Regular exercise can help you achieve and maintain weight,
which can be important in handling many health conditions, or it may make you feel
happier and more confidence about your appearance. (Steven, 2012)
Physical Activities isn’t just about losing unwanted weight, it’s about enjoying an
active lifestyle and having fun. Furthermore, there are many benefits you can get from
exercising. All exercises support strengthen bones and muscles. For example, running
especially good in promoting bone density and protecting against osteoporosis, which
affects men as well as women. There are lots of positive reasons for joining physical
activities and sports, such as meeting new people and generally feeling better. When
you involve in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the
more calories you burn. (Gill, 2012)
The easiest way to walk more is to make walking a habit. There are a lot of examples
you follow to make it as a habit. Such as, using stairs instead of elevators. Doing a
regular daily walk with a member of your family or a friend. Further more. You may
join a group to keep yourself aware of your body and fitness, and to make your life a
6
healthy healthier and enjoyable. (Gill, 2012)
Sleep is like water and food, is necessary for everybody because it is a time when the
body is at rest. In your sleeping hours your body needs enough time to recover the
energy you lost. During the day, when you are using your body you are actually doing
damage to it. When you sleep you give it a chance to repair the damage and actually
make it stronger as it adapts to the demands that you have put on to it. Not getting
enough sleep will stop this from happening and leave you feeling run down. This will
lead you to illnesses and many different diseases. (Walter, 2012)
Having enough sleeping times is the Third base of having a healthy lifestyle. Healthy
sleeping improves your life in many different ways. We sleep for one third of our
lives. Furthermore, we might as well get it right with reliable restful sleep, you will
have more energy during the day. Every day researchers discover how your quality of
sleep determines your overall wellness. Stress is another important factor when it
comes to having a healthy heart. Other studies have shown that a lack of sleep can
decrease glucose tolerance and increase the body's production of cortisol, a hormone
produced in response to stress (Walter, 2012)
7
An earlier American study has compared two groups of people. People who sleep
seven to nine hours a night with people who sleep less than seven hours a night.
People who sleep seven to nine hours a night are more likely to develop calcium
deposits in their coronary arteries, increasing their risk for having heart disease. In
fact, even after accounting for different other causes, researchers found that when
sleep rundown subjects get just one more hour of sleep per night, they had a 33%
decrease in their odds of developing calcium deposits in their arteries. Although
they're not certain why sleep helps keep arteries healthy, researchers hypothesize it
helps combat stress, and the fact that when you sleep your blood pressure naturally
decreasing (Steve, 2011)
Furthermore, sleeping and depression have a compliment relationship. Having a good
healthy sleeping nights improve your wellness and mood. In addition, sleeping gives
you the power you need to the other day. Sleep isn't a luxury for that matter. It's a
must for your overall health and wellness. According to numerous studies, it's
important for a healthy heart. Being in a good mood and having enough sleeping
hours can make your lifestyle healthier (Walter, 2012)
8
Conclusion:
Finally, achieving a healthy lifestyle is a conscious decision. Balanced and
nutritious diet and be aware of the food nutrition and joining sports or other fitness
related activities. And finally, having enough sleeping hours are the most important
bases of having a healthy lifestyle. So by perfectly following these bases, you’ll find
the life you want and lead your goal. Furthermore, you’ll gain the benefits of having a
healthy lifestyle. In addition, by only eating a healthy food you can’t consider
yourself as a healthy person without doing the whole bases and balance between
them.
This research has shown that people who are following the bases and regularly
exercising are living longer happily life. Doing Sports can improve your fitness as
well as your wellness. If you exercise daily you will improve your body wellness and
decrease other heart and lungs diseases. In addition, Canadian studies have shown that
people who’re regularly exercising have a lower depression level than the people who
are not. Furthermore, they indicated that people who join health clubs have more
successful and social life than the others.
The evidence from this study suggests that every society center could make a health
club to involve people to have a healthy lifestyle. By exercising and learning healthy
9
habits. Also, each member of each family could make an improvement by learning
how to follow the right steps of having a healthy lifestyle and fitness activities.
Furthermore, Schools should be aware of their students and teach them the benefits of
the physical activities and how important to exercise. The environment will be
healthier if each person avoid the bad habits and follow the right basis of having a
healthy lifestyle. In addition, by decreasing the number of the bad habits lots of
different diseases will be decreased also.
Everybody should recognize the enormous benefits of having a healthy lifestyle. It’s
important for each one, adults and children to have a healthy life. Having a healthy
lifestyle will lead you to a successful life and help you to achieve your goals. In
addition, as they said, prevention is valuable than cure.
