I was the Solutions Architect in the team, migrating a variety of legacy databases and document stores into
OpenText Content Server 10. This involved building the development and UAT content Server systems
and installing additional modules such as Records Management, Classifications, etc. I also set up facetted
browsing using table key lookups, which involved writing some advanced WebReports. For the data
migration, I built and configured a Remote Cache Server, so that users on a poor network connection could
manage large CAD files with good performance. Then the data migration involved writing Java conversion
code to move metadata from csv files to xml files ready for dataloading.

This contract involved datawarehousing using cubes in Analysis Services. The first part of the work was to
create new Windows servers to manage the database and the cubes, and a web server to manage the front
end. Then I migrated the databases from SQL Server 2000 to 2005 and the cubes from Analysis Services
2000 to 2005. Links to many other databases had to be created and the dimensions rebuilt. Most of this
work was performed remotely through Citrix, as the dimensions rebuilds had to be started at any time on a
24x7 basis.

I was part of the team migrating a Drawings database called EDDIS (Oracle 8i) into Livelink, a web-based
repository that uses an Oracle database, including data from MIMS Ellipse (Oracle 9i), the asset register.
My remit was to configure the environments, write the specification of the data migrations, write the
migration project and test plans, create the database extracts, and perform the data loads. I then moved onto
designing, building and administering an externally hosted Livelink system (SQL Server 2005). This
included developing extensive workflows in Livelink, with supporting Java and LAPI code to automate
various processes. I then moved on to enhancing an Ofgem reporting suite that combined data from the
Ellipse and PIER Oracle databases. I then went on to developing more Livelink workflows in Livelink 10
(Content Server 10) using HTML and JavaScript forms on an Oracle 11g database, and also writing
supporting LiveReports and WebReports.
