Imperial College London Silwood Park Ascot SL5 7PY 16/05/17 Dear DoLS Team, I was awarded a DoLS travel award that helped me attend the annual meeting of The Association of the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) in Hawaii in February 2017. I was invited to give a talk in a special session on multiple environmental stressors lead by Ellard Hunting and Martin Solan (Leiden University, NL). My talk was titled Multiple stressors in freshwaters: the effects of local and catchment-wide stressors in streams. The organisers of the special session arranged several informal meetings with the invited speakers, and as a result we are now in the process of writing a multi-author review paper. The conference also gave me the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with collaborators on my current project on the effects of warming in freshwater ecosystems, such as Jill Welter (Saint Catherine University, US). The conference had a large range of high-profile speakers well known in the field of aquatic ecology and I attended many interesting talks. In summary, attending the conference was worthwhile, and I am very grateful for the DoLS Travel Award that helped me participate. Sincerely, Dr. Michelle Jackson
