Achillea (Yarrow) will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Achillea (Yarrow) Coronation: A classic choice for the summer border with straight
stems bearing long-lasting, flat, bright yellow flower heads from June-Aug. Low,
gray, feathery, aromatic foliage. Long blooming and reblooming abilities when spent
flowers are removed. Great as cut flowers. Height 30". Spread 24". Full sun. Zone 3.
Deer Resistant. Rabbit resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies.
OR
2. Achillea (Yarrow) Millefolium “Apple Blossom” An abundance of lilac-pink clusters
blooming over grayish green, fern-like foliage from June to Sept. Prized for its long
bloom and rebloom abilities when spent flowers are removed. Great as cut flowers.
Height 36". Spread 24". Full sun. Zone 3. Deer Resistant. Rabbit resistant. Drought
tolerant. Attracts butterflies.
Agastache (Anise Hyssop)will be available in one of the following two
types:
1. Agastache (Anise Hyssop) Hummingbird Mint "Blue Fortune" Long-lasting, soft blue
flower spikes from July-Sept. Fragrant foliage. The leaves and stems are aromatic
while the flowers can be nicely fragrant and long lasting. Height 36". Spread 18". Full
sun to part shade. Zones 4. Deer Resistant. Rabbit resistant. Attracts butterflies,
pollinators and hummingbirds

2. Agastache (Anise Hyssop) (Hummingbird Mint) foeniculum "Golden Jubilee"
Lightly-scented powder blue flowers from mid summer to early fall. Fragrant foliage,
turning lime green in color throughout the season. Excellant for cut-flowers. Height
24'. Spread 24'. Full sun or part shade. Drought tolerant. Zone 2b. Deer Resistant.
Rabbit Resistant. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
Aquilegia (Columbine) will be available in one of the following two
types:
1. Aquilegia (Columbine) c. “Pink Lanterns” This makes a low mound of lacy, fern-like
leaves, bearing sprays of small soft-pink flowers with a creamy-yellow center from
late spring to early summer. Height 12". Spread 12'. Full sun or part shade. Zone 2a.
Deer Resistant. Rabbit Resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies and
hummingbirds.

2. Aquilegia (Columbine) Canadensis: Small orange-red flowers with a yellow center
from late spring to early summer, over a compact mound of ferny light-green
foliage. Excellent for cutting. Height 36". Spread 24". Full sun or part shade. Zone 2a.
Deer Resistant. Rabbit Resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies and
hummingbirds.

4. Aster oblongifolius "October Skies": A strong low growing aster with light blue

Baptisia will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Baptisia (False Indigo) australis: Spikes of indigo purple pea-like flowers rising above
the foliage from mid spring to early summer, which are most effective when planted
in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It's round compound leaves
emerge lime green in spring, turning olive green in color throughout the season.

2. Baptisia (False Indigo) Purple Smoke: Spikes of violet pea-like flowers rising from

Coreopsis will be available in one of the following four types:
1. Coreopsis (Tickseed) Full Moon: Daisy-like canary-yellow flowers from mid summer
to mid fall; thriving in sandy and rocky soils; coreopsis needs good drainage. Zone
5a. Height 30". Spread. 18". Full sun. Deer resistant. Rabbit resistant. Drought
tolerant. Attracts butterflies and bees.
OR
2. Coreopsis (Tickseed) verticillata Zagreb Golden (Threadleaf Coreopsis): Forms a
spreading clump of very delicate, ferny foliage. This compact selection bears loads of
starry golden-yellow daisies, from early summer into the fall. Tolerant of hot, dry
sites once established. Excellent for cutting. Great for edging in the sunny border, or
planting in mixed containers. Tolerates heat and humidity. Zone 3a. Height 18".
Spread 18". Full sun to part shade. Deer resistant. Rabbit resistant. Drought tolerant.
Attracts butterflies and bees.

3. Coreopsis (Tickseed) x Red Elf PPAF: Unique red flower with white tips over
compact small mounded shape. Thrives in sandy and rocky soils. Blooms early

resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies and bees.

4. Coreopsis (Tickseed) x Red Satin PPAF: Mass of deep wine to ruby red flowers with
an orange center over dark green foliage. Thrives in sandy and rocky soils. Blooms
early summer to fall. Zone 4b. Height 18". Spread 18". Full sun. Deer resistant.
Rabbit resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies and bees.
Echinacea will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Echinacea (Coneflower) Purpurea Magnus: A good rose-pink form, with less droopy
petals. Blooms in summer. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts pollinators,
hummingbirds, butterflies and birds. Zone 3. Full sun. Height 36". Spread 18".
OR
2. Echinacea (Coneflower) tennesseensis Rocky Top Pink: Slightly upturned, deep pink
petals with widely spaced, thin rays giving the flower a cup like appearance. Long
summer blooming with flowers that always face east, not traveling with the sun like
most. Narrow leaves. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts pollinators,
hummingbirds butterflies and birds. Zone 1. Full sun. Height 36". Spread 18".
Eupatorium will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Eupatorium (Joe Pye Weed) maculatum Gateway: Impressive bushel basket size,
lavender-pink flowers on wine-colored stems, Aug.-Sept. You see Joe Pye Weed over
most of the east in roadsides. Deer resistant. Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds
and butterflies. Zone 3. Full sun to part shade. Height 5-7'. Spread 36".

2. Eupatorium (Joe Pye Weed) rugosum Chocolate: Attractive, shiny, deep purple
stems hold interesting, chocolate-colored leaves and contrasting white flower heads
Sept.-Oct. Deer resistant. Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies. Zone
5. Full sun to part shade. Height 5-6'. Spread 36".
Lobelia will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Lobelia (Cardinal Flower) cardinalis: Stalks bear striking red flower spikes. Longblooming mid summer to early fall. Adaptable to most sites; even loves to be wet. A
delight to grow and it is perfect for damp or poorly drained soil. Deer resistant. Zone
3. Full sun to part shade. Height 36". Spread 24". Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds
and butterflies.
OR
2. Lobelia (Cardinal Flower) siphilitica: Dark blue to white flowers from mid summer
and late fall, over dark-green leaves. Plants will usually self-sow. Adaptable to most
sites; even loves to be wet. A delight to grow and it is perfect for damp or poorly
drained soil. Deer resistant. Zone 3. Full sun to part shade. Height 36". Spread 24".
Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies.
Monarda will be available in one of the following three types:
1. Monarda (Beebalm Hybrids) bradburiana: A very distinctive plant because of its
large, lavender-pink flowers somewhat resembling a punk rockstar’s hairdo. It is the
earliest of Monardas to flower, blooming May-June. Zone 3. Full sun to part shade.
Height 18". Spread 18". Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer
resistant.

2. Monarda (Bee Balm) Fistulosa Claire Grace: Bears soft lavender flowers from mid
summer to early fall. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Zone 3. Full sun to part shade.
Height 48". Spread 24". Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies.
OR
3. Monarda (Beebalm Hybrids) Jacob Cline: Huge, deep red flowers with dark red
bracts from midsummer to early fall. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Zone 3. Full
sun to part shade. Height 48". Spread 24". Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds and
butterflies.
Opuntia will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Opuntia (Prickly Pear) Cactus humifusa (Lemon Form): Native cactus. Less thorny
than most cactus with soft-textured, bright lemon-colored blooms from June to July.
Clump-forming habit. It is drought tolerant making it great for rock and alpine
gardens, stonewalls, or xeriscaping. Not prone to insects or disease. Deer resistant.
Drought tolerant. Zone 5. Full sun. Height 12". Spread 24". Attracts pollinators,
hummingbirds and butterflies.

2. Opuntia (Prickly Pear) Cactus Phaeacantha (Orange Form): Yellow-orange blooms
from June to July. Clump-forming habit. It is drought tolerant making it great for
rock and alpine troughs or gardens, stonewalls, or xeriscaping. Not prone to insects
or disease. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Zone 5. Full sun. Height 12". Spread 24".
Attracts pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies.
**Phlox will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Phlox Creeping stolonifera "Blue Ridge" (Tufted Creeping Phlox: Light blue flowers
over low compact tufts of mounding leaves. Can be used as a ground cover. Blooms
mid-spring to late spring. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Zone 3. Part sun to part
shade. Height 12". Spread 12". Attracts pollinators and butterflies.

2. Phlox Woodland d. ssp. Laphami (Wild Sweet William) Dwarf: Spring wildflower
which forms mats of foliage. Blooms from April to May, violet blue flowers on 1215" stems. Deer Resistant, drought tolerant. Zone 3. Part shade to full shade. Height
18". Spread 18". Attracts pollinators, butterflies and hummingbirds.
**Phlox will also be available in one of the following three types:
1. Phlox Meadow maculate: Upright meadow flower with bright green lance shaped
leaves. In summer, the glossy foliage is topped by large conical clusters of fragrant
pinkish-purple flowers. Zone 4. Full sun to part shade. Height 36". Spread 24".
Attracts pollinators, butterflies and hummingbirds.
OR
2. Phlox Summer paniculata David: Upright meadow flower with bright green lance
shaped leaves. Blooms mid-July to September with large conical clusters of white
flowers. Zone 3. Full sun to part shade. Height 40". Spread 36". Attracts pollinators,
butterflies and hummingbirds.
OR
3. Phlox Summer p. Speed Limit 45: Cotton candy pink flowers, mid July to mid Sept.
Zone 3. Full sun to part shade. Height 44". Spread 33". Attracts pollinators,
butterflies and hummingbirds.
Rudbeckia will be available in one of the following three types:
1. Rudbeckia (Black-Eyed Susan Coneflower) fulgida var. sullivantii City Gardens: Easy
to grow, adding color for a long period of time from summer into fall. Dwarf variety
that grows to just 12". The golden daisy-like flowers bloom July-Oct. Deer resistant
and rabbit resistant. Drought tolerant once established. Zone 3. Full sun to part
shade. Height 12". Spread 18". Attracts pollinators, butterflies and birds for the seed
heads.

2. Rudbeckia (Black-Eyed Susan Coneflower) fulgida Early Bird Gold: Compact form
with upright stems clad with oblong to lanceolate dark green leaves. Blooms from
mid-June to October. Deer resistant and rabbit resistant. Drought tolerant once
established. Zone 3. Full sun to part shade. Height 24". Spread 24". Attracts
pollinators, butterflies and birds for the seed heads.
OR
3. Rudbeckia (Black-Eyed Susan Coneflower) fulgida v. s. Goldstrum: Gold daisy like
flowers with dark brown seed head. Garden classic, excellent for providing long
reason color in late summer and early fall. Keep the seed heads for winter interest
and for food for small birds. Zone 4. Height 36". Spread 24". Full sun to part shade.
Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies, pollinators and birds.
Solidago will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Solidago (Goldenrod) rugosa Fireworks: Graceful with long arching golden yellow
sprays. Plants form a bushy, upright clump of dark-green leaves, bearing large heads
of golden-yellow flowers that look like an exploding sun. Blooms late summer to
mid-fall. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Zone 3. Full sun. Height 47". Spread 30".
Attracts pollinators and butterflies.

2. Solidago (Goldenrod) sphacelata Golden Fleece: Shorter goldenrod with semievergreen basal foliage. When massed, they form a weed-proof groundcover.
Blooms Aug-Oct. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. Zone 3. Full sun. Height 24".
Spread 24". Attracts pollinators and butterflies.
Vernonia will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Vernonia (Iron Weed) lettermanii Iron Butterfly: Compact, well-branched and
vigorous with open masses of wispy, deep violet-purple flowers blooming late
summer to fall with needle-like foliage. Easy to grow, late bloomer, its common
name Iron Weed tells it like it is. It is found in roadside ditches and across fields
where the soil is average but moist. Best planted mid to back of the border as all
varieties grow tall. Drought tolerant. Zone 4. Full sun. Height 3'. Spread 3'. Attracts
butterflies and pollinators.

2. Vernonia (New York Iron Weed) noveboracensis: In a sunny, moist site Ironweed
will form a bold, impressive clump of dark green leaves, with large clusters of
magenta-purple flowers in late summer and fall. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant
Zone 3. Full sun to part shade. Height 6-8'. Spread 3'. Attracts butterflies and
pollinators.
Viola will be available in one of the following two types:
1. Viola labradorica Purpurea: Blue flowers throughout the entire growing season.
Nice bronze foliage. The many uses for Violas include naturalizing, edging, in rock &
alpine gardens or in your perennial border. Butterflies love to flutter about violas
finding them a ready source for food. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Zone 3. Full
sun to part shade. Height 2-4". Spread 6-8". Attracts butterflies and pollinators.

2. Viola sororia "Albiflora": White flowers from mid-spring to early summer and again
in the fall. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Zone 3. Part sun to part shade. Height 24". Spread 6-8". Attracts pollinators.
