Introduction to ProCure21+ Course
Course Overview
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the ProCure21+ (P21+) framework,
procurement method and scheme management. It is a mandatory requirement for all clients
and PSCP staff to attend this course before commencement on a scheme.
Attendees will get an overview of the principles, roles, responsibilities, processes and tools to
be applied in the delivery of a P21+ scheme. It outlines key requirements on all parties, gives
an overview of contractual and commercial mechanisms.

Objectives
By the end of this course attendees will:

have an appreciation of the ProCure21+ Framework and the benefits it can bring

understand the roles and responsibilities of all key parties in the development of a
scheme

know the importance of effective leadership, communication and team work in
delivering P21+ schemes

appreciate the PSCP selection process and PSCP Selection Tool

have a good understanding of the contractual structure of a scheme

be familiar with scheme development activities particularly in setting up a scheme and
getting into contract

have an appreciation of scheme development

understand the Guaranteed Maximum Price, its make up and the Gain-Share
Mechanism

gain an overview of the NEC3 Option C contract core clauses and P21+ amendments
including the ‘Early Warning and Compensation Event’ process.
