# 15 AngLegs Exploration Day 2
#16 HW: Why Couldn’t the Two Elephants Go Swimming Together?
What conditions must be true for
creating triangles?
• The two shortest sides of the triangle must
be greater than the longest side.
If you know the angle measures, do
you know everything about a triangle?
1.Using your AngLegs create a one triangle using red, blue and yellow. Now
create a second triangle using green, purple and orange. Place the smaller
triangle within the larger triangle.
• Using the protractor measure the three interior angles for each triangle.
What do you notice about the corresponding angles?
2.Using your AngLegs and protractor make a triangle with 90 angle, one 30
 angle, and a 60 angle.
• Try to create another triangle with the exact same angle measures, but
with at least one side a different length.
• Are you able to stretch or shrink the smaller triangle but keep its sides
parallel to the other triangle, would its angle sizes remain the same?
AngLegs Triangle Exploration Day 2
• Open the following link and answer the
problems in your math notebook.
• AngLegs Triangle Exploration Day 2
• If you finish early start on your math
homework – green worksheet only do D-33 and
D-34.
