Theme: Fun, Crazy Week

All activities are modified to ensure that all of our children learn accordingly
to their developmental stage and age-appropriate levels.
Groups rotate three times each day so all children receive teaching and
learning time with all three teachers.
Monday:
Ms. Cheryl’s Group: Fun book
Get Ready For School Activity: This week we will be building with blocks for our
fine motor skill activity and to enhance creativity.
Activity: We will be painting with blocks today as a fun art project.
Plan and Do: Each child will tell the teacher where they plan to play either on the
playground or in the classroom.
Early Literacy:
Ms. Denice’s Group: Fun book
Get Ready For School Activity: This week we will be building with blocks for our
fine motor skill activity and to enhance creativity.

Fine Motor Skill: The children will be making windblown art today using a straw,
runny paint, and construction paper of their choice.
Get Ready For School Activity: The children will be making straw playdough
creatures by pushing cut straws and wiggly eyes into different colors of playdough.
Plan and Do: Each child will tell the teacher where they plan to play either on the
playground or in the classroom.

salt, liquid watercolors, spoons or eye droppers.
Get Ready For School Activity: Today the children will be making colored salt by
mixing tempera paint and the salt together to create popping colors. We will let
the mixture dry then use it tomorrow for our art project.

playground or in the classroom.

Cooking: For cooking today, the children will make a fruit cup by layering
strawberries, bananas, grapes, mandarin oranges, and cool whip, if they choose.
Fine Motor Skill: Today we will be using the colored salt from yesterday to make
cool designs on stock paper. The children will share the different colors to create
their designs.
Friday:
No School --- In-service for teachers
