I will explain what they are gods over and what their powers consist of. I will read with the students about the different classes. We will discuss what is important to that class and what separates them from the rest of the group. The students will work together comparing and contrasting the groups. They will make their decision of 2 groups they fill they can describe. I will hand out a study guide for Egypt. Together we will go over the 6 attributes of Egypt. Next, we will review the vocabulary so they are prepared for the summative test. I will hand out a study guide for Egypt. Together we will go over the 6 attributes of Egypt. Which god is the most powerful? What were some of the powers of the gods? What are the 5 five classes? Who is the highest? Who is the lowest? Where is Egypt? What did they believe in? What did their class structure consist of? I will ask if there are any questions about the test. Cut out their god and speech bubble. Record what they think they would of said. Put it in your LGTB. The students will choose two of the groups. They will fill out a Venn Diagram with at least 3 facts in each section. They will take the information and write a compare/contrast paragraph with an introduction, details, and a closing. Min 5 sentences. Read your paragraph. Do you talk about 2 groups. Students will read about their topics and closing and we will evaluate if they are good. Fill in their study guide and review their vocab. Students will edit each other’s postcard. They will have 5 minute breaks where they will exchange cards and read them for editing and to help with their own ideas. Students will take a blank piece of paper to take notes.
