Spring 2016 – Night Social Tennis Competitions

Bookings are now open for the Spring 2016 season. Due to the increasing popularity, and the limited spots available,
this is strictly first in, first served.
If you wish to play, please complete the following application, (Advise the Administrator as per below), and
pay the required fee. Once payment has hit our account, your place will be confirmed.
The committee has indicated that there will be a strict “no pay-no play” policy, and spots will not be held pending
payment.


The dates are:
Monday 3rd October until Monday 19th December) – 11 weeks (NO PLAY CUP EVE)
(YTC Members $88/ Non-members $132) please check for availability prior to paying, only
a few spots available
Thursday 6th October until Thursday 15th December – 11 weeks (YTC Members $88/ NonMembers $132)
Friday 7th October until Friday 16th December – 11 weeks (YTC Members $88/Nonmembers $132)
The fee includes tennis balls and court lighting. The charge as determined allows for up to 2 washouts per term.
Starting time is 7.15pm for the first night, then 7.30pm

The competition is open to non-members but there is a 30% discount on the competition entry fees for club members.
The membership year begins on 1 July and membership includes Personal Accident Cover through Tennis Victoria.

Players interested in joining this social competition need to have basic tennis ability – serve reasonably consistently,
able to rally, understand the basics of tennis (including scoring).
Our system of grading ensures that after a week or two, players are matched with other players of similar ability
based upon scores from preceding weeks. You will always play in doubles format and be assigned to groups of
four/five players – playing with and against every player in your assigned group on that particular night. We operate a
ladder system from week to week, and players will move up or down the ladder based on their weekly performance.
This will provide competitive tennis for people of all abilities and the chance to meet and play with a variety of people
each week.

