Goals of the Cancer Gold Standard
The CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ is a series of cancer-related recommendations,
developed by the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, to fight cancer in workplaces in
the United States. The Cancer Gold Standard’s three main goals:
1. Risk Reduction through Lifestyle Change: Reducing the risk of cancer by not
using tobacco and by maintaining a healthy diet and active lifestyle,
2. Early Detection: Detecting cancer at the earliest possible stage, when
treatment has the best chance of improving outcomes, through age and genderappropriate screenings, and
3. Quality Care: Ensuring access to the best available cancer treatment

Results: Employees and Their Families
EARLY DETECTION: PROSTATE CANCER
“I just wanted to write you a note to thank you for
extending Blueprint for Wellness to spouses of
employees this year. My husband was diagnosed
with cancer of the prostate. We have very good
medical care here, and are very fortunate.”
EARLY DETECTION: COLORECTAL CANCER
“This fall I did the InSure Fit® test along with the other
blood work and survey. The InSure Fit test came
back positive. This last week I had polyps removed
that were early stage carcinoma. I consider this my
best Christmas gift ever!”
EARLY DETECTION: LEUKEMIA
“If I did not participate in Blueprint for Wellness, it is
quite likely the disease would have been quite
advanced before it was detected, at which time it
might have been too late to treat effectively. It is
very likely Blueprint for Wellness saved my life.”
