Product Bulletin End-of-Life/End-Of-Support Announcement for the Cisco Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) Tool PB729377 Published Date: December 10, 2013 Cisco announces that Cisco Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) tool will be deprecated in Software Release 4.1.0 Affected Products and Packages Product or Package Name Operating System and Release Version Cisco Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) Standalone Application On all supported software releases. Cisco Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) Command-Line Interface On all supported software releases. Cisco Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) Tool of the SCA-BB Console On all supported software releases. Effect of Deprecation Cisco will deprecate the Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) tool in software release 4.1.0. The Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) in SCA-BB Console, SCA Reporter Command-line interface and SCA Reporter standalone application will be removed in software release 4.1.0. There will be no development on the Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) tool. The Cisco Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) in software releases 3.7.X, 3.8.X and 4.0.0 will receive software fixes for severity 1 and severity 2 defects until the end of engineering support. Effective Date of Deprecation The deprecation is effective on the date of this announcement. Support for Deprecated Feature Cisco engineering will provide software fixes for severity 1 and severity 2 defects found in the deprecated feature for six months from the day the feature deprecation is announced. Defects with severity ratings 3, 4, 5, and 6 will stop being addressed beginning the day the feature deprecation is announced. Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) will continue to provide configuration and troubleshooting assistance for 12 months from the day the feature deprecation is announced. © 2013 Cisco and/or its affiliates. Date End of engineering support to address severity 1 and severity 2 defects The last date that Cisco Engineering will release any final software maintenance release or bug fix that resolves a severity 1 or severity 2 defect. January 23,2014 Defects with severity ratings of 3, 4, 5, and 6 will stop being addressed as of the date of this deprecation announcement. After this date, Cisco Engineering will no longer develop, resolve, maintain, or test the deprecated features. Last date of Support The last date to receive service and support for the deprecated features from Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC). After this date, all support services for these features are unavailable. August 23, 2014 SCA Reporter software download and documentation will also be unavailable after this date. Migration Path Customers with Cisco Service Control Application Reporter (SCA Reporter) Tool are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco Insight Reporter Tool. Cisco Insight Reporter is a software platform based on web 2.0 user experience standards, designed to collect and present reports, charts, and statistics about the traffic data collected by Cisco SCE devices.
