HERITAGE PALMS FITNESS CALENDAR July 2015
Aqua Aerobics is held at the Clubhouse Pool. All other fitness classes are held at the Lodge.
A member must be present to allow a guest to attend fitness classes. A $5.00 fee will be charged to the
member account from the administration office for each guest listed on the required sign in sheet.

Proper closed toe aerobic tennis shoes are required to attend a fitness class.
It is recommended that you get your physician’s approval before participating in exercise classes

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Aqua Aerobics: Is a traditional basic aerobic class performed in deep or shallow water. The buoyancy of the water significantly
reduces the stress on joints and muscle. Water creates a lot of resistance with or without aqua weights, strengthens muscles and
improves circulatory and respiratory systems. TONI
Aqua Zumba: Is a fun , energetic Latin dance bringing the party to the pool. The instructor will teach the class how to swing
their hips in all directions adding arm and leg movements to push the body against the resistance of the water improving core
strength and muscle tone. Everyone put on your swim suit and join in on the fun. RUBBY
Barre Pilates: Is a great way to target and tone areas such as the gluteus (butts) , abdominals (guts) and leg muscles . Chairs are
used for support in place of ballet bars. This workout is designed to build the muscles that support your skeletal frame TONI
Extreme Strength Training: Is a serious non stop workout to build resistance and endurance using 3-10 Lb weights or flex bars
with weight plates. This class will help decrease body fat, increase bone density and muscle mass boosting your metabolism to
still burn calories at rest. TONI
Fitness Center Circuit Training: Is a group class starting with a 10 minute warm up on a cardio machine, moving to each strength training machine targeting one muscle group at a time 2 sets of 8-12 repetition. This
class is a great way to improve frequency, intensity, endurance and learn how to use the equipment. TONI
Gentle Yoga/Pilates: Is a series of basic gentle yoga stretches to release muscle and joint tension connecting breath awareness
to body movement.- Mat Pilate exercises are combined on the floor using gravity and body weight to provide resistance to core
muscles. TONI
Light Strength Training: Is performed seated in a chair for 15 minutes, Standing leg exercises for 15 minutes
to improve balance, core and gentle stretches for 15 minutes. TONI
Low Impact /Core Is a cardio workout that starts with a 10 minute warm up, 20 minute aerobics, with one foot on the floor to
minimize landing force to protect joints using upper body to increase heart rate, 20 minutes of abdominal, back & gluteus exercises ending with 10 minutes of stretching and recovery. This class is for all levels. TONI
Step Interval: Is a challenging interval workout that combines step choreography on a platform of various heights that will make
you sweat out toxins combined with strength training. This class can be performed without a platform and still get a good
workout. TONI
Total Power Body Sculpting: Is a high energy muscular strength training class ultimately improving definition sculpting your entire body using weights, barbells with loaded weight plates and tubing. Progression to the next level of fitness is the goal. EMILY
Zumba Toning: Is a choreographed dance class to Latin and modern music holding light hand weights it increase your heart rate
and tone major muscle groups fun and easy to follow. RUBBY
