SERVICES BIOINFORMATICS Process automation Our team can automate many repetitive, fastidious and prone to human error with the use of programming. Does your staff spend long hours trying to calculate statistics on web sites or are they annotating genes manually on public database? All these are but a few examples of automation we can help you with. Support for bioinformatics software Certain software, algorithms or programming language (ex: R, Plink, Python, Perl) require the use of a particular operating system (Linux) or the expertise of coding notions that are not familiar to your research team. We are available to provide support to your team. Large data analysis Some data might be too large to analyze on traditional tools (Excel). Our team can help for the analysis, the formatting, the transformation or the extraction of data. High performance computing Calcul-Québec provides all the Investigators with an access to their servers for large informatics task that require a lot of resources. This platform is hosted on a Linux server that requires the ssh protocol to communicate. Our team can adapt your processes on their servers. Databases admin We can provide support for the building of any kind of database: samples, patients, laboratory material as well as clinical and genetic data. We can also provide help to modify (add tables) or functionality to existing databases. We also provide support for database migration (SQL) Project consultation A service of consultation can also be provided to your team: certain projects with specific bioinformatics need an evaluation of feasibility and resources that require a knowhow of both informatics as well as molecular-biology.
