Patrick Corcoran
Patrick Corcoran is an associate professor in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State
University. Pat works out of the Clatsop County OSU Extension Service office, and he lives in Astoria, OR. Pat’s job is
connecting OSU researchers with local stakeholders, and educating the public about coastal natural hazards. These
include chronic hazards such as winter storms and flooding, and also our greatest catastrophic hazard, the Cascadia
subduction zone earthquake and tsunamis.
Erick Kountz
Erick Kountz is a training and development specialist. He is also a mischievous motivator! He has a passion for
bringing people together with straight talk, empathy, and a ton of humor. He enjoys playing off the audience so don't
be surprised if you become part of the show! He refers to his creative trainings as “edutainment” and is currently
helping agencies and business all over the N.W. to increase the peace and productivity in their workplace. You can

Rob Coffman, CGMP
Rob has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality and meeting/events industry. He has held various sales and catering positions with
hotel companies and Hospitality Partners, including a position as Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing for 13 properties in the DC
metropolitan area. Since 2003 Rob has worked in the Office of Special Events at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, DC.
He is responsible for all events and meetings involving Secretary of the Treasury.
Over the years Rob has been an active member and board member of several industry associations. Rob has a passion for history and
current events and serves as a docent for the Treasury building and a past board member of the Treasury Historical Association. Within
the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) Rob has served in a variety of positions. He was the 2014 recipient of the Sam
Gilmer Planner of the Year recognition and is currently serving as SGMP’s immediate past national president.
Hannah Kang
Hannah Kang is a Senior Account Supervisor on the Edelman Digital PNW team. Based in the Portland office, Hannah
plays a lead role in helping clients communicate through the online social space to develop brand awareness, community
engagement and online lead generation. Work includes managing social communities and content strategy to online
conversation audits, website redesigns and SEO/SEM efforts.
Jordan Curtis
Jordan Curtis is an Account Executive on the Edelman Digital PNW team. He started off his Edelman career as an
intern on the consumer practice and transitioned to the digital team in 2012. Since then, he’s leveraged his expertise in
content development by refining his role as community manager and social advertising specialist for a handful of local,
companies.
Ron Farris
Ron is a Sales Engineer for PSAV’s Network Services Division. His primary role is working with PSAV’ s local Sales
Managers and Hotel Partners consulting on Internet Sales Methodology and best practices for meeting the
connectivity needs of today’s business traveler.
Grace Nied
Grace Nied, CGMP, provides training, presentations, and facilitation services for organizations. She has over 30 years
of meeting planning experience during her career in state government. A dedicated member of SGMP for 20 years,
she is past president of the Texas Lone Star Capital Chapter, former Gilmer Institute of Learning Trustee, and Gilmer
Planner of the Year in 2009. In addition to the Lone Star Chapter, Grace is a member of the Rocky Mountain
Chapter, and was honored as New Member of the Year in 2014 for the RM Chapter. She is also a Licensed Master
Social Worker. Grace has consulted and trained for several states and presented keynotes and workshops at
national and international conferences.
