Outlines for Final Exam
The following is an outline of the material that will be covered on the final exam for World History. A majority of the
information can be reviewed using your notes, past test and quizzes, as well as your textbook. Take the time to review all
topics since they carry equal importance.
The final exam includes an essay as well as a section of multiple choice/matching questions. The total final exam will be
worth 15 percent of your semester grade.
Rise of Dictators and Totalitarianism

One of these questions will be selected for your final exam. Be sure to provide specific examples and
details to support an essay response.
1. The Soviet Union Emerged from World War II economically and physically devastated. How do you think the
development of the Cold War would have proceeded if the United States had been in that position?

Compare and contrast the goals of Japan and Germany in World War II.

Describe the “Cold War” that took place between 1945 and 1991. Who was involved and how was it fought?

important. Be sure to focus attention on the major ideas of each unit. Be sure that you understand the major significance of
each unit.
