PURPOSE & TARGET AUDIENCE
This conference has been designed to provide healthcare professionals (physicians, physician assistants, nurse
practitioners, registered nurses, dietitians, licensed practical nurses, nurse assistants, nursing home administrators, and social workers) working in acute, long term, home health, rehabilitation and other healthcare settings
with up-to-date and evidence based clinical data in Primary Care. Emphasis will be placed on the practical
application of content presented. The didactic and/or hands-on simulation lectures will allow ample time for
participant feedback and interaction.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on identified professional practice gaps that resulted
from extensive target audience needs assessment data. The needs assessment data were derived from a variety
of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants and clinical expert input. The program
addresses patient safety and ethical issues.
ACCREDITATIONS
AOA CCME Cambria-Somerset Council and LECOM anticipates this program receiving AOA CCME
approval for up to 21 Category 1-A credits.
LECOM is accredited by the AOA CCME as a Category 1 CME sponsor.
Category 1: Cambria-Somerset Council for Education of Health Professionals, Inc. is accredited by the
Pennsylvania Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
