Main achievements: 3 organized UNCTAD’s Expert Meeting on Tourism-Related Services (8-10 June 1998), by coordinating the preparation of the UNCTAD secretariat document International trade in tourism-related services: issues and options for developing countries (1998) and by interacting with key players in other international organizations and private sector institutions and contacting country experts and governments; contributed to the preparation of the UNCTAD documents Scope for expanding exports of developing countries in specific service sectors through all GATS modes of supply (1998) and Ways and means for improving the opportunities for the expansion of exports of goods and services from developing countries (1997); organized the cooperation among international institutions involved in training on international commercial diplomacy and trade policy by identifying complementarities and areas of common work.
