Summon A Google-like search engine that indexes most of our print and online resources. Use the search limits to the left of the results screen to limit to scholarly articles or books/eBooks. CINAHL Evidence-based practice articles, randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews. Cochrane Library Evidenced-based systematic reviews and clinical trials. MEDLINE (EBSCO) MEDLINE (Ovid) PubMed @ UMSL MEDLINE is essentially the same as PubMed but with a different user interface. MEDLINE (EBSCO) has the same user interface as CINAHL. If you like CINAHL, you might try MEDLINE (EBSCO) instead of PubMed or MEDLINE (Ovid). Health Sciences Click the link to the left for a full list of Health Sciences databases. Finding Books and eBooks: Use Summon or the Library Catalog to find books and eBooks Use the truncation or wildcard symbol (*) to search variant word endings: o nurs* = nurse, nurses, nursing Combine different concepts using AND: infection AND catheter When a book is unavailable from the UMSL Libraries, you can search the MOBIUS Catalog. When requesting items through MOBIUS, remember UMSL students are in the MERLIN cluster. If an article or book is not available in print or online at UMSL, request the article through InterLibrary Loan (ILL). The EBSCOhost Clinical Collection includes over 1700 titles on medical specialties, nursing, allied health, and general practice. Many EBSCO eBooks can be downloaded for reading offline.
