Why do people make “WANTED” posters? For people who have committed crimes/wrong doings
 What if your god/goddess is a “do-gooder”? How can you tweak a “WANTED” to work for them?
IDEAS
*A “call for help” – Plead for the help of a god/goddess/creature, but be sure to “play to their strengths”. Talk about
their prior actions that have helped label them as helpers. (Could make the call for help sarcastic).
Example: HELP WANTED: Zeus we need your help… From your very first days in Mount Olympus, you
have ….
*Turn it into an award. Think about how an award presenter talks about the person who is getting the award. Then
tell about their life, their achievements, etc.
Example: The “Most Dangerous Glare” Award goes to Medusa! Originally a jaw-droppingly-beautiful
mortal, Medusa…
*Make is sarcastic/ironic –
Example: WANTED: Medusa for aggressive eye contact
If you see this mortal turned monster, be sure to keep away even the slightest bit of eye-contact. Originally a jawdroppingly-beautiful mortal, this now turn-anything-living-to-stone-by-a-glance monster is not to be trusted.
Day 5: Oral Presentation
Briefly explain your poster to the class. During the oral presentation you will introduce your god/goddess and tell
his/her myth. You will need to:
 show the picture of god/goddess on the poster
 identify the god/goddess by name
 state what he/she is the god/goddess of
 pick one or two other interesting facts to tell about
 briefly explain a myth involving the god/goddess
IMPORTANT: REMEMBER YOUR MANNERS! When fellow students are presenting, you need to be respectful
and courteous listeners.
