MISSION STATEMENT
GRASS
- aims to promote the
empowerment of marginalized and
underprivileged communities, protect the
environment, encourage and educate them
to respect tribal/cultural diversity
VISION
GRASS - envisages a bright future
where Liberians are empowered, tribal
diversity transcends tribal solidarity,
and nature be restored for future
generations.
BACKGROUND
As you may be aware, most of the
development, social and human rights
issues affecting communities are not
sometimes, if not all of the times
discussed the by holding of consultations.
Therefore, solutions found to address
these challenges most of the times do
not take into consideration the bottomup approach, thus, have the propensity
to undermine the process. On the other
hand, it has been noticed that most
organizations established to champion the
cause of ordinary citizen in the context
of working with them to find solutions
to these many challenges or to change
their condition do not have the capacity to
address same. Therefore, the condition of
the ordinary citizens either remains the
same or even worsens.
To engage in after school
activities, such as; art, craft,
dance, sport music, tutoring,
etc for children at risk. It will
establish also a “village school” in
communities where there are no
school
In view of the foregoing, like-minded
individuals,
especially
development
workers, decided to come together with
their expertise and resources to work under
the banner of GRASS.
The Grassroots Agency for Social Services

holding consultations and collaborating
with other development partners and the
citizens themselves so as to respond to
the many social, development and human
rights challenges facing communities in
Liberia.
