Life in a Roman Fort – p. 450 – 451 Take a look at the Daily Life lesson on page 450. The Romans build permanent forts during the beginning times of the empire. Forts helped Rome both defend AND expand it’s empire. 1.
Many Roman soldiers signed up to be in the army, but they had to sign on for 25 years of service. 2.
