Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Radiology, both Diagnostic and Interventional, is a keystone of medical practice. Imaging routinely complements clinical evaluation and plays a part in the establishment of a working clinical diagnosis. From the Program Director I have learnt that the choice of specialty for your Residency training truly determines the rest of your life. Interventional Radiology has further replaced conventional medical and surgical therapy as the new standard of care. A Wealth of Research Opportunities Rigorous, challenging and rewarding, the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Clinician Scientist Program is a six-year structured training program. R1 to R4 is designed to equip Clinician Scientist Residents with the knowledge, clinical skills and qualifications of a Radiologist. Research training will begin in R5, after the Clinician Scientist Resident has completed the final FRCR exam. Dedicated research protected time will be given to Clinician Scientist Residents, allowing them to pursue their research activities and formal research education.
