The MarkMonitor network of Internet security partners create site reputation ratings of red (fraudulent), yellow (caution) and green (legitimate), using site classification information provided by brand owners via the MarkMonitor portal, as well as information collected from a range of other sources. These ratings are then delivered to Internet users, who have the desktop security application installed, in search engine results or when users navigate directly via the URL bar.
