GS-4 is the only GA3 product registered in Canada for use on Iris.
Introduction:
Application of GROSPURT can increase height and total number of leaves and flowering could be
advancedconsiderably by applying a foliar spray of 250-750 ppm (625-1875ml/100L) up to 3 times of
Grospurt.
For cut flowers, when GROSPURT is applied the plant canhave a significant higher water content in the
flower heads and stems, hence maintaining flower turgidity,reduction in bent neck flower senescence and
increased flower quality.
Research:
Research has shownpostponement of leafyellowing, delayed leaf senescence in flowering stems and a
significant effect on leaf longevity.
Results:
Treatment with GA3 has been mandated for Alstroemeria sold at flower auctions in the Netherlands*.
