Chambers
Atria
• Room or entrance left atrium right atria it’s where the blood
comes in
Right Atrium
• receives blood because it’s on the right side it has no oxygen
Left Atrium
• Takes in oxygenated blood to feed the heart with its oxygen.
Ventricles
• “Belly” make up most of the hollowness of the heart. They
push the blood out of the heart.
Right Ventricle
• - sends blood without oxygen without oxygen to the lungs
Left Ventricle
• Sends the oxygenated blood everywhere else
Valves
• there is four they prevent blood from back flowing.
Tricuspid Valve
• tri means 3 cusp means points it prevents blood from going to
the right ventricle into the right atrium.
Pulmonary Valve
• Pulmo lungs makes sure the blood doesn’t go back into the
right ventricle
Mitral valve
• Prevents blood from going back from the left ventricle into the
left atrium.
Aortic Valve
• Prevents blood from coming back into the left ventricle once it
pushes it out.
Veins
• carry blood to the heart
Vena Cavas
• - carry blood to the right atrium.
