Methods: Acoustic Monitoring
(1) Reef fishes implanted with transmitters
(2) Movements tracked with remote receivers
Preliminary Results:
(1) Most reef fishes are resident at Kealakekua MPA
(2) Scale of movements varies among species
(3) Some species cross MPA boundary daily
(4) Reef fishes rarely cross major habitat breaks
