*Students learn that equations of the form (x-a)(x-b) = 0
have the same solution set as two equations joined by "or"
: x - a = 0 or x - b = 0

could you assume anything about those numbers?

Solving equations in factored form
So if....
ab = 0, then either a = 0 or b = 0
This is called the ZERO PRODUCT PROPERTY
You could say the same for the product of
three number equivalent to zero.
abc = 0, then either a = 0, b = 0, or c = 0
