My Religion
Most of the people in Nepal are Hindu,
and so is my family. However, there are
many Buddhists in my country, too.
Muslims and Christians constitute small
minorities.
Being a Hindu means believing that
there is one supreme God called
Brahman, who is present in all things
and gives life to all living things.
In the picture above, you can
see a traditional Hindu temple!
To Hindu people, the cow is a
sacred animal and they never
eat it.
Hindu people always try hard to be
better people. We believe in dharma
(that everyone has their place in the
society), karma (that there is universal
justice) and reincarnation (that the spirit
returns after death but in a different
form).
