This conference presents state of the art infection prevention practice and
disease control information.
Conference Objectives
At the conclusion of the conference, the participant will be able to:

Discuss the importance of competency and certification to the infection prevention profession.

Discuss emerging technologies and trends in infection prevention and control.

Describe findings of current state HAI collaborative and antibiotic stewardship assessments.

Name two resources for developing an infection prevention plan and construction risk assessment.
Special Information
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This program is designed for Infection Prevention professionals in all health care settings, including
Infection Prevention Committee Chairpersons, Hospital Epidemiologists, Physicians, Employee Health Nurses, Emergency Response
Professionals, Physician’s office employees, Microbiologists, Home Health personnel, Long Term Care staff, Non-Acute Care staff,
Public Health personnel, Ambulatory Care personnel and other Health Care providers.
EDUCATIONAL CONTACT HOURS:
This seminar is approved for 14 contact hours of continuing education under the
provider number of #50-757 for both nursing and laboratory continuing education credit. Daily contact hours: Wednesday 5.0; Thursday
5.0; and Friday 4.0.

Hotel Room Rates/Reservations
Room Rates/Reservations: A block of rooms has been reserved under the name “Florida
Professionals in Infection Control”, at the rate of $134 per night (single or double).
Reservations should be made by contacting the hotel directly at (407) 851-9000 or (800) 3806751. Attendees must mention FPIC to receive seminar rates. This rate is not available with
online reservations. Hotel registration deadline is August 24, 2012. After that time rooms
may be reserved on a space available basis and seminar rates may not apply.
Transportation Information:



For attendees who are staying at the hotel, self-parking is free. For attendees driving to
the conference, one parking voucher will be given daily. Please note: The daily voucher
does not permit in and out parking privileges.
Transportation from the airport: Courtesy 24-hour van service is available. Call the
Orlando Airport Marriott, a courtesy phone is no longer available at the airport. The hotel
operator will dispatch a van to meet you at a designated location.
