Definition of Full Implementation:
District is able to provide evidence that an ongoing process is in place to ensure
that each and every student is learning the Essential Concepts and Skill Sets
of the Iowa Core Curriculum.
A district that has fully implemented the Iowa Core Curriculum is engaged in
an ongoing process of data gathering and analysis, decision making,
identifying actions, and assessing impact around alignment and
professional development focused on content, instruction, and assessment.
The district is fully engaged in a continuous improvement process that
specifically targets improved student learning and performance.
In working towards full implementation each plan will address and show
evidence of the alignment among the six outcomes. Current and planned
activities, resources, evidence of progress will show how that alignment will
be established and maintained.
