Remember the order of operations: Perform appropriate operation Parenthesis Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction BE CAUTIOUS Know what variable belongs to what part of the equation Do not loose the parenthesis Be EXTRA careful with negative numbers Solve using P.E.M.D.A.S.
