Granular Kelp Meal is a 100% organic soil amendment made from Ascophyllum Nodosum seaweed, the
seaweed species best suited for agricultural and horticultural applications.
Plants don’t work alone. They depend on the host of beneficial microbes in the soil to help them extract
water and nutrients from the environment, and to protect them against disease-causing pathogens. By
feeding the beneficials, Granular Kelp Meal improves the health of soil, and therefore the health of the

APPLICATION RATES:
Crops: Broadcast: 300 lbs. per acre. In a row: 200 – 300 lbs. per acre
Established Plants: Ornamentals and shrubs: 1 cup per 4 ft. of plant height. (Apply in spring with new

As a Soil Amendment: Soils low in OM: Apply 2 lbs. per 60 sq. ft. Soils with medium OM: Apply 1 lb. per
80 – 90 sq. ft (apply every year around drip zones)
To Improve Spot Areas in Lawns: Apply 10 lbs. per 100 cup per 100 sq. ft. or 1 cup per 3 sq. ft.
For Flowers and Gardens: Use 3 lbs. per 100 sq. ft.
For Trees: Use 1 lb. (or 3 cups) per inch of trunk diameter.
