The D336A base is used with smoke and heat detector
heads to provide early fire warning for life safety and
property protection systems. These bases are
compatible with the Bosch Security Systems' D8024
and D10024A Analog Fire Alarm Control Panels
(FACPs) and with the following Bosch Security
Systems' detector heads:

In these systems, the circuit typically runs on 18 AWG
to 16 AWG (ISO 0.75 mm2 to 1.5 mm2) wire and
connects to a Bosch Security Systems' D9067 Polling
Circuit Module. Wire length (maximum loop resistance
of 40 Ω) in the analog device polling circuits in these
systems can exceed 4750 ft (1450 m). Each analog
polling circuit can support up to 126 device addresses.
Install the base in either a Class A or a Class B analog
polling circuit.
Installation/configuration notes
Modular Design
The D336A is part of a two-piece modular design
smoke or heat detector assembly. The
permanently‑installed bases provide in and out
connection points for the polling circuit.
Mounting
The bases install over four‑inch octagonal or square
back boxes. For UL Listing requirements, space the
detectors no more than 30 ft (9 m) apart.
