How to get from the Airport to Athens University of Economics & Business
Address:
Athens University of Economics & Business
76 Patission Str (28is Oktovriou Str.)., 10434, Athens
There are 3 main ways to get to the University from the Airport
1) By Taxi
There is a taxi queue right outside the airport (Gate 3). The taxi-fare is 35€ to the
centre of Athens as clearly written in the big yellow card one can see after the exit of
the main entrance. You may provide the taxi driver with the University Address and
he/she will deliver you right outside the University main entrance.
2) By Bus/Metro
The Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport) is located about 33
km. outside the city of Athens. There is an Express Airport Bus providing transport to
downtown Athens around the clock (24 hours per day). A ticket to one of these
buses costs 6€ (please check as there might be an increase). The buses depart from
the arrival levels, between doors 4-5. It will take about 45’-50’ to get to the centre of
the city (Syntagma Square). The bus number is X95 and it stops at the south side of
the square. Right in the middle of the Syntagma Square you will find the Metro
entrance (Syntagma station, blue and red line). From the Syntagma Metro station
you have two options: you can either take the blue line to the Monastiraki station
(direction towards Egaleo) and there change to the green line (direction towards
Kifissia) and get to Victoria Station, or you can take the red line (direction towards
Aghios Antonios) and change to the green line (direction towards Kifissia) at
Omonoia Station and get down at Victoria Station. A single Metro ticket costs 1.40€
(please check as there might be an increase) and is valid for 70’.
3) By Suburban Railway/Metro
The blue Metro line (Egaleo-Airport) after the station of Doukissis Plakentias offers
direct connection to the airport (the ticket costs 8 Euro) via the Suburban Railway
lines. The Suburban Railway station is right outside the airport main gates (there is a
short 2’ walk to reach the station platforms). At the station you have two options:
you can either take the Suburban Railway (yellow line) to reach the Neratziotissa
station (green line) and from there take the green line (direction towards Piraeus)
and get down to Victoria Station or you can get the Metro (blue line-direction
towards Egaleo), get down to Syntagma station and follow the same directions
described on No 2. The ticket to the Suburban Railway or the Metro from the Airport
to downtown costs 8€ (please check as there might be an increase).
You may use the Metro map below in order to better orient yourself with the
Athenian Metro System.
How to get from Victoria Station to the University
After exiting the Victoria Metro Station, you turn right on Heiden Str. and move
straight ahead to Patission Str. (otherwise known as 28is Oktovriou Str.). You cross
the road at the intersection and then turn left. After 2 vertical streets (Kotsika and
Antoniadou Str.) you will find the main University entrance.
