is marrying right or in today's world having the right partner. Luck in love, timing of marriage, delay in marriage,
incompatibility in love/marriage, whether lost love will come back, when will I find love of my life/soul mate, description of spouse - Probable
description etc., These types of doubts are common to everybody. All of us having the doubt how to select a wife or a husband based on the
Horoscopic arrangement. Apart from 10 porutthams the following objectives also to be taken consideration for marriage matching:- Dosha
Samyam (Cancellation of Dosham) , Dasa Sandhi , Samasapthama, planatery arrangement of widowhood, Vishakanyadosham, Kalatradosha. Here the researcher gives a note on such things.
Introduction.

marriage, whether lost love will come back, when will I find love
of my life/soul mate, description of spouse - Probable description etc., divorce, second/ multiple marriage, which person to
choose for marriage etc. These types of doubts are common to
everybody. All of us having the doubt how to select a wife or a
husband based on the Horoscopic arrangement.Apart from 10
porutthams the following objectives also to be taken consideration for marriage matching:- Dosha Samyam (Cancellation of
Dosham) , Dasa Sandhi , Samasapthama, planatery arrangement of widowhood, Vishakanyadosham, Kalatradosha. Here the
researcher gives a note on such things.
1.Dosha Samyam (Cancellation of Dosham)
Saturn, Rahu, Kethu, Mars and Sun are the Grahams which
could trouble a Person depending upon its Position and Strength
in a Horoscope. When these 5 planets are in 1-2-4-7-8-&12th
places from Lagnam, Chandran & Sukran, they create a certain
amount of problem,(Dosham). The ferocity of the Dosham depends upon its strength in these houses, such as a Friend or Foe,
(Uchcham) High or Low (Neecham) - Ruler or Equal. The total
amount of Dosham for the Girl and Boy has to be calculated at
the time of Horoscope Comparison for a marriage. If the Dosha
index is more for the Girl than the Boy marriage will not be recommended. When the Dosha index is more for the Boy or it is
Equal for Both marriage will be recommended. There are several
methods to work out the Dosha Index. “
1. When in Girl’s Chart, from the Langa (Ascendant), Chandra
and Sukra (Sukran) see 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th places.
When there are any Evil planets (malefic or Papa Grahams)
then it will be cancelled when similar planets are occupied
in Boy’s Chart, even though it could be from Chandra instead of Langa or Sukra or vice versa. This is called cancellation of Dhosham. It will be more applicable only in the
case of KUJA.
2. In Girl’s chart, when langna, Chandra are strong and 4th,
7th and 8th places are aspected (viewed) by Good Planets
(Subha Grahams), then it is very good.
3. In General, when the planets occupying in 7th places from
Lagna are not the lord’s of 6th, 8th and 12th (places from
Lagna) then it is good.
4. In General, even the malefic planet (papa graham) is in
the 7th place, it would be good, when he is the lord of 7th
house.
5. In Girl’s chart, when planet in 8th place are depleted (nee314

cham) or enemy and when it is aspected by Guru , Sukra ,
or Budha (Bhudan) or by Chandra (growing Chandra ) with
full strength, it is very good.
6. When the place of Surya, Chandra and Sukra in girls chart is
occupied in place of Lagna in boys chart (or vice-versa) their
intimacy will be good.
7. When the place of Chandra in girl’s chart is occupied in
place of Lagna or Soorya or Lord of Lagna in Boy’s Chart,
(or vice versa) intimacy between them is good.
8. See the Chandra raasi in girl’s chart. When the same raasi
in Boy’s chart is occupied by lord of 7th house of boy’s chart
(or vice versa), their intimacy is good.
9. When Chandra Raasi in girl’s chart is the 7th place from lagna in boy’s chart, then it is good. When planets are exalted,
the intimacy between them will be good.
10. In a horoscope, the place of Guru ( Guru), Sukra , Kuja (
Sevvai) are in 3rd, 5th, 9th, and 11th place in another horoscope, ( from lagna in another chart) then this is a good
match.
11. When the place of Sukra in girls chart is occupied in place
of Kuja in boys chart the intimacy between them will be
good.
2. Dasa Sandhi
When you analyse any horoscope, verify the present running
Dasa of a person; if that dasa is to be ended within 18 months,
it is known as “Dasa Viduthalai” in Tamil which is some- what
determental to the interest of the person of the chart. If the
same dasa is running for both girl and the boy, (to whom the
matching is done) then it is called “Dasa Sandhi”. The professional Astrologers, and Pandits don’t consider that horoscopes
for matching and marriage.
3. Samasapthama And Its Effects Opposite Chandra Signs
In Boys And Girls Horoscopes
1. When the boys Lagna (ascendant) and the girls lagna are in
samasapthama positions it will cause physical attraction.
2. If the janma rasis Chandra signs are like this it is said to
create mutual affinity between the couples.
3. This is based on the principle that when the minds are united differences will not exist All samasapthamas are good except Chingam (Leo) and Kumba (Aquarius).this is based on
the fact that Soorya adn Sani are mutual enemies. Makara
(Capricorn) and Karkada (Cancer) are also not good.
4.Planetary combination for widowhood
1. Lord of the 7th and 8th join and occupy the 8th aspected by
malefic planets.
2. If the 7th house is occupied by Rahu Lord of the 7th is con-

joined with Soorya and has the aspect of lord of 8th.
3. Lord of 7th com bines with Sani and is aspected by Kuja
Chandra and Rahu in the 8th House.
4. If Kuja is in the 8th House in combination with the lord of
the 8th and the ascendant or lagna falls in an evil Navamsa.
5. Rahu in combination with Sani and Kuja occupies the 7th
and 8th house.
6. Lord of 7th and 8th join together and occupy the 12thhouse
from ascendant and 7th house is aspected by malefics.
7. If Kuja and Sani are situated in the 7th and 8th house and if
lord of 7th is weak and unfavourable
8. If the 7th house and its lord lie between two or more malefics with no benefic aspects or conjunctions.
9. Kuja occupies the 7th house and is aspected by a malefic
planet.
10. 7th or 8th House from either the lagna or Chandra position
is occupied by more than two malefics.
11. Rahu joined with a malefic and occupying the sign ruled by
Kuja is placed in the eight or the twelfth house.
12. Lord of the 6th and 8th house are placed in the sixth or the
12th house and are aspected by malefics
13. When the 8th house is occupied by a malefic and the woman will become a widow and the widow hood will occupy
during the dasa of the planet owning the navamsa occupied
by the lord of the 8th.
14. Lord of the 8th occupies the 7th house and the lord of the
7th is aspected by a malefic early widowhood will result
15. Chandra conjoined with Rahu occupied in the 8th house
16. Chandra conjoined with Kuja occupied in the 8th house.
17. 7th house is hemmed in between malefics in the 6ht and 8th

18. Lagna and Chandra aspected by sani, rahu and connected
with 8th house.
19. Rahu occupied 2nd house in Kuja’s sign ie.. mesha or Vrischika.
5.Vishakanya Dosham in Girls (Girls who must be avoided
as matrimonial partners).
1. Any girl born in the combination Saturday, Ayilyam and
Dwithiya thithi,
2. Any girl born in the combination Soorya day, Chathayam
and Dwadasi (12th thithi)
3. A girl born on Tuesday, in vishakam nakshatram and Saptami thithi.
4. If a benefic as well as a malefic planet occupy the Lagna,
and two malefics are in the sixth house. The girl born is
Vishakanya.
5. If the girl is born when the Soorya is in the fifth house, Sani
is in Lagna and Kuja occupies the Ninth she is a vishakanya.
6. If the lunar day is seventh falling on Tuesday and Chatayam
ruling or if the lunar day is the 12th falling on Soorya day
ruled by Kartika, the girl becomes a vishakanya.
7. Kuja and Sani conjoined in any house and Lagna fall in Kuja
or Sani’s sign (Mesha, Vrsichika, Makara and Kumbha).
6.Kalathra Dosha
Kalatradosha has been already explained in our earlier unit
named Dosham. However this information is a very important
one in astrology, the simplified details are given again. Mangalya
Dosha or Death of Husband Affliction to or death of wife and
planetary positions averting widowhood for girls. Strong malefic
in the 8th house in the female horoscope. Is stated to cause early
widow hood. If this malefic who is in the 8th house in a female
horoscopes is owner of the 7th house. Then widowhood should
not be predicted. When there is a malefic in the 8th house if the
2nd or 4th house is occupied by strong benefic like Guru the
wife will predecease the husband since 8th house will be aspects
by Guru even if there are malefics in the 7th house and the 8th

house in the horoscope of the girl if there is a strong and powerful benefic in her 9th house she will have both good marital life
and prosperous children.
1. If the 6th lord and 8th lord. Combine and occupy the 7th
house in a female horoscope if Chandra with no digit
strength occupies 7th house as lord of the 6th which will
happen only if lagna is Kumbha, if Kuja and Guru occupy
7th or if Sani is alone in the 7th or if Sani is alone in the 7th
house aspected by 8th lord she will become a widow.
2. If Sani is in the 8th house aspected by strong malefic in a
female horoscope she may not get married. Unless there are
other favorable factors the horoscope.
3. If in a male horoscope weak Chandra is in the 5th house,
from lagna and if lagna, seventh and twelfth houses are occupied by other malefics he will neither have wife nor children.
4. If in a male horoscope, Sani is in the 7th in Pisces
(Meenam), and if Soorya is in the lagna he will lose his wife
This can happen only if lagna is in Virgo ( Kanni).
5. Guru is in the 7th in Virgo ( Kanni) and there are malefics
in the 4th house from lagna, the wife will meet with an early
death.
6. Soorya and Sukra are conjoined in the 5th, 7th, and 9th
house from Lagna, the wife will have deformity of limbs.
7. Soorya and Rahu or Kethu are in the 7th House he will
loose all his wealth either through the bad character of his
wife or sickly wife.
8. If Chandra and Sani are in the 7th he will not have progeny.
It is also likely that he may not get married.
9. If lord of the 8th is in the seventh, he will lose his wife very
early.
10. If Kuja and Sani are in the seventh in Cancer, he will get a
good and beautiful wife. This can happen only if the lagna is
Makara or Capricorn.
11. The lord of the seventh house when placed in the sixth,
eighth or twelfth from lagna or ascendant but not in his
swaksheta (own sign) or exaltation sign ucha will afflict his
wifes health.
12. If Sukra (Venus) is joined with a malefic planet the persons
wife will undergo serious afflictions even to the extent of affecting her longevity the result will be the same
13. If Sukra
occupies her debilitation sign neecha rasi or an
enemy sign or asthagatha combustion if Sani occupies eight
or tenth house in a male horoscope it will afflict his wife’s
longevity.
14. If in a male horoscope Rahu occupies the seventh house
from the lagna or ascendant or Sukra
or the Chandra s
sign it is said to cause his wife’s death.
These doshas will be nullified if the lord of the seventh house or
a powerful benefic is positioned in the seventh house.
7. Exceptions the Kuta or Poruttham matching
The following are the salvaging factors, if present; one can ignore
certain incompatibilities in the poruttham or Kuta or Poruttham :1. The absence of Stree-Deerga may be ignored if Rasi Kuta or
Poruttham and Graha Maitri are present.
2. If the Rasi of the girl is odd, the 6th and 8th Rasis there
from are friendly. If the Rasi of the girl is even the 2nd and
12th there from become friendly. The evil due to the birth
of the bride in a Rakshasa gana star may be ignored if Janma Rasi being 2nd and 12th, 9th and 5th or 6th and 8th,
the lords of the Rasis are the same or are mutual friends.
3. Though Graha Maitri is by far the most important, it need

4. Rajju Kuta or Poruttham need not be considered in case
Graha Maitri, Rasi, Dina and Mahendra Kuta or Poruttham
