Chapter 2






The circulatory system’s job
is to pump blood to all parts
of the body.
It is made up of the heart,
blood vessels, and blood
It also consists of arteries,
veins and capillaries
Arteries carry blood filled
with oxygen to all parts of the
body.
Veins carry blood filled with
carbon dioxide to the lungs.
Capillaries are the tiny
vessels where the exchange
of gases takes place.

Your respiratory
system is responsible
for making sure your
cells have the oxygen
that they need.
Your skeletal system
consists of bones,
cartilage , and
ligaments.
 It is responsible for the
structure of your body,
and protecting internal
organs.





Your muscular system
enables your body to
move. Everything that
moves on you is attached
to a muscle.
Your muscles work in
pairs to move you.
Tendons hold the
muscles to bones.
You have two kinds of
muscles, voluntary and
involuntary.


Your nervous system
enables you to sense
your environment and
react to it.
There are two parts:
Your central nervous
system consists of your
brain and spinal cord.
Your peripheral nervous
system connects your
brain to your sensory
organs.
