Marketing Manager About NORPA: NORPA (Northern Rivers Performing Arts) is a non-for-profit theatre company based in Lismore, New South Wales. NORPA is one of a few remaining regional theatre companies creating original Australian works. NORPA manages the Lismore City Hall in a cultural alliance with Lismore City Council. NORPA presents a season of performances and has established a strong and loyal support base of season subscribers and single ticket buyers from across the Northern Rivers Region. The Marketing Manager joins NORPA at an exciting time in the organisation's development. NORPA has enjoyed significant success with locally produced productions such as Railway Wonderland while also enjoying national and international recognition. Purpose: The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and managing the company's marketing, community engagement, and communications strategies. The role is responsible for promoting NORPA as the premiere theatre company in regional Australia; maintaining and growing subscription and single ticket audiences to NORPA productions and events; and promoting Lismore City Hall as the Northern Rivers' primary cultural hub for audiences and hirers. The Marketing Manager will lead the overall marketing strategy and activities in line with NORPA's artistic plan, vision, mandate and strategic plan. Support Staff: The successful applicant will be supported by their supervisors, the NORPA General Manager and NORPA Artistic Director. You will be provided training in Seat Advisor (SABO) (the ticketing system) and other office software and equipment. You will take part in regular briefings outlining productions and events so that you can provide audiences with the most up-to-date information. You will participate with the marketing team in reviewing and presenting information about production and event content, themes, suggested audiences (eg. family friendly), running times, curtain time, local and additional services (eg. food, parking, accommodation) Position works closely with: Artistic Director, General Manager, Audience Services Coordinator, Executive Producer, Producer, and Venue Coordinator Position Supervises: Public Relations Coordinator, Graphic Designer and Publications Coordinator Position Description: Defining and articulating NORPA's unique philosophy, qualities, and distinct personality in line with the company's brand and identity. Grow awareness of NORPA in the Northern Rivers and local community, in the national arts and theatre sector, and with key government and private stakeholders. Develop and implement the season marketing campaign, including the season brochure and other marketing collateral. Develop targeted campaigns for particular productions, NORPA Presents, and NORPA Generator. Maintain the community engagement program for raising the profile of NORPA and NORPA Generator. Build the online marketing presence and profile of NORPA. Set the targets and develop the long-term plan for the Board and senior management of NORPA to achieve audience growth. Raise the profile of the venue as a cultural hub to attract quality performing touring artists. Undertake and maintain audience research that informs internal decision making and benefits external supporters such as Lismore City Council, State and Federal Government, Tourism Authorities, Sponsors and Donors, patrons and subscribers, etc. Maintain relationships with suppliers, supporters, media, government representatives and others that helps support NORPA marketing initiatives and community profile. Permanent part-time, 30 hours per week.
